MTB Odyssey

MTB Odyssey Apuseni Race is one of the most popular mountain biking events in the Cluj area, taking place in the spectacular scenery of the Apuseni Mountains, with the headquarters at Buscat Resort (Muntele Băișorii).

The event is designed to be a "two - wheeled odyssey", addressing both professionals and amateurs or families who want to enjoy nature.

Races

Depending on your physical fitness and bike type, you can choose one of the following categories:

1. Odyssey Challenge (Long/Medium Route)

Distance: Approx. 47 - 50 km

Elevation Gain: Approx. 1700 - 2100 m (depending on the edition)

Profile: A technical and demanding route dedicated to advanced cyclists. It includes sustained climbs toward Muntele Mare, single-track sections, and descents that test your technical skills.

2. Odyssey Explore (Short Route)

Distance: Approx. 25 - 27 km

Elevation Gain: Approx. 800 - 900 m

Profile: Ideal for amateurs or those who want to discover the beauty of the area without extreme effort. The route is picturesque, passing through meadows and forest roads with superb panoramas.

3. Odyssey Power (E-Bike)

Distance: Approx. 32 - 35 km

Profile: A category dedicated exclusively to electric-assist bicycles. The route is adapted to highlight the advantages of an E-MTB, combining steep climbs with speed sections.

4. Odyssey Mini (Kids)

Distance: Between 400 m and 3 km (depending on age)

Profile: A specially designed circuit in the Buscat resort area for young cyclists (3-14 years old), usually organized in XCO (Cross-Country Olympic) format.
